deadspread83's News

Alright, seven pages left to finish the first issue. I'm way behind what I had hoped, but definitely within sight of the finish line.

More comic info...

I've had to put the comic book down for a while, so in the meantime, here are some of my aborted submissions to the Newgrounds Collabs. LAUGH AT THEIR SHAME!

Not much done since my last post, not as much as I had hoped anyway. Still, I'm averaging a page or two a day (at least my days off) so I think that's descent. Over half done with the first issue, which is turning out longer than expected. Looks like maybe 32 pages? I'm not sure. It's gotta be in groups of 8 because of the mini tab printing, so it might end up at 24 pages, but we'll see. In the meantime, here is the main character's mailbox...raped for web viewing.

Comic keeps on truckin...

Well, I'm chugging along. I'm a little over 1/2 done with the first issue. Working every damn day tends to make something like this more difficult, but anything worth doing, is worth doing right. Hopefully I'll have the first issue done by the middle or end of next month, but we'll see. Anyway, I really just got sick of looking at the last post, and also this is a good way to measure how long it's taking.

Comic Book / Graphic Novel Update

Posted by deadspread83 - May 7th, 2009

I was pretty damn surprised to have won something, so thanks to everyone who voted and left comments.

Next on the plate is a graphic novel I've been toying around with. I've got the entire story arc finished, and storyboarded most of it (at least in my head). When it's done should span either 10 or 11 twenty two page comic issues. It's slow work, but so far so good. When I've got the first issue completly done, I'm going to send it to Image Comics and see what they think. And if they think it sucks, I'll just have to print it myself. We'll see.

PICO DAY SUBMISSION!

Posted by deadspread83 - April 16th, 2009

So, I've been working on this animation for a while, and it'll be my longest yet at just over 2 minutes. I don't want to give too much away, but it's kind of a somber look at Pico as a grown man, reliving that day at the school. Hopefully, somebody will like it. Snayk was kind enough to let me use one of his songs, and it really works well. Anywhoo, look for it on Pico Day, so it can depress the hell out of you and ruin your life.

Pico Day Animation...

I've been working on this animation for a while, and I lucked out when Snayk said he'd let me use his song for it, which really works well. Now, if I can just finish the fucking thing in time for Pico Day...

I've been working for a while with the comic strip artist Steve Dickenson (one of the creators of Lola, and the creator of Tar Pit) in making some short cartoons out of some of his strips. The one I ended up doing was just a single frame comic, so it is pretty short, but unlike most of my stuff, it won't offend your grandmother :) There will probably be some more, this was really just a test run, but hopefully somebody will like it.TARPIT

New Cartoon! (kind of)
