Almost at the half-way mark on the second issue of my Comic series. So much of my day-job work eats away at my time to work on it, but it pays the bills. Still roughly on schedule.

I want to start up the second half of the contest for the back page ads, but there's an awful lot of contests and shump work to be done, so I'm holding off for a bit.

If you haven't read the first one, CHECK IT OUT I tried to keep it cheap enough so everyone who wanted one could get one, and it makes for an inexpensive Christmas present. Also, I feel like a dirty shill, but how else am I gonna whore my work out?

Some of you may have seen MY COMIC in the Newgrounds store. If you were wanting to see a little more before you bought it, here's your chance! I've uploaded the first 4 pages to the Art Portal so you can get a little better idea of what the comic is about...

Keep in mind, this is just one comic in a series of 12, so all the questions posed in this issue WILL BE ANSWERED, and if not answered, made to look like they were!

Also, be sure to pick up a 2010 NEWGROUNDS CALENDAR! and keep an eye out for the 2nd half of the Comic Ad contest, but in the mean time, check out THE HALLOWEEN ART CONTEST that Mindchamber has put together!

Let me know what you think!

I've sent all of the winners and participants who pm'd me their address their very own FREE copy of the first issue of 1976! I sent the international packages last week and the US addresses went in the mail today! Thank you to everyone who participated in part 1 of the ad contest, and keep an eye out for part 2 COMING SOON! Also, feel free to let me know what you think of it so far when you receive it. Now, back to work on my Halloween flash submission....

1976 First Issue!

I'm hoping to have the files to the printer in the morning! It's taken longer than I expected, but overall I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. Thanks to all the CONTEST winners, and keep an eye out in the next couple of months for the second chapter of that contest.

Also, I've decided that CATOBLEPAS will have the back cover for the first issue! If you didn't see his winning ad, take a look at the link to the contest and check it out, along with all the other awesome winners. I've compiled a list of all the people who sent me their info from the contest who didn't win, and you'll all be getting a free comic when I get them back from the printer. Now, here's hoping the Comic doesn't suck!

Check out BoMToons post and congratulate the winners of the 2010 Calendar Art Contest!

MY COMIC IS DONE!

Anybody who hasn't given the calendar contest a shot, be sure to. HERE'S MY SUBMISSION. Also, I hope to have my comic to the printer in the next couple of weeks. Keep those fingers crossed. Looking forward to finishing this one up and starting on the next.

THE NEWGROUNDS AD CONTEST is going pretty well so far. Still plenty of time to submit for anybody who wants to take a crack at it. I'm still working out where I'll get it printed, but it'll be all set when the contest is over.

ALSO one of my favorite comics/animated shows The Maxx has episodes on MTV's website For those of you who don't remember, The Maxx was on MTV's oddities show in the 90's. The resolution of the online episodes beats the shit out of my bootleg VHS copies...the only downside is you may have to sit through a Lubriderm commercial or two. It's a small price to pay for a show that awesome. Now if they would only release the whole series on DVD...

Putting the final nail in the coffin on the first issue. Also, because Tom is awesome and is going to carry the finished product in the Newgrounds Store, I am thanking him by HOSTING THIS CONTEST so Newgrounds can have an awesome ad for the back page, and so you get a chance to be the one who gets credit for it :)

alright...still waiting on press for quote on cost of printing. I've got an alternate in mind if these guys don't pull through, but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed. Anywhoo... here is a fake cigarette advertisement.SMOKE 'EM IF YOU GOT 'EM

Well, just a few pages left. It's taken ALOT LONGER than I had originally hoped, but it's still not too far off schedule. Next up, the Printing! Hoping to hear back from the press this week or next, so keep your fingers crossed that it won't be ridiculously expensive. This issue will be 24 pages, with no inside ads, just the good stuff. There will be a total of (12?) comics total in the series. I've got the next issue brewing in my head, so I'm hoping to just flow from working on this one right into the next.

another update on the Comic...
