Aww, wow! That's ABSOLUTELY AMAZING ADVICE, thank you. ^^ You've motivated me to spend time with my Mum more, have fun on weekends more and etc ^_^ Thank you so much. ???

thank you for writing this it’s very good to keep in mind :)

A decent reminder for those that haven't dealt with loss. I looked at your older posts to see if you lost someone recently, often people don't heed advice like this until they've experienced that kind of loss for themselves. Wish I spent more time talking with my mom and getting to know her deeper feelings instead of just silently acknowledging her for the tough-love exterior she always exuded. I didn't have the ability to notice or care about whatever signs of stress she was putting out 8 years ago. It's too late now, and she'll never get to see how happy I've become or how good my life became. My last conversation with her was petulant and awkward.

Your message is a "life-pro-tip" for empathy lacking people that honestly don't care, and a painful reminder for those of us that already get it. I should call my dad today...

I'm blessed that both my parents are still around, although they're in their 70's now. In an effort to make my life smaller, I try to talk to them and my family once a week, or go and see them. I have kids of my own, and it made me appreciate my parents more I think. My kids are great compared to how I was.
